The Fourth Kingdom by Alexandra and Joyce Swann (Free for Kindle this week)

I enjoy reading some dystopian and/or sci-fi literature upon occasion, so I appreciated the opportunity to read The Fourth Kingdom. This is the prequel to mother/daughter writing team Alexandra and Joyce Swann's upcoming novel, The Force, which will be released later this month.

The story revolves around genetic research and cloning farms, with a sinister twist that will keep you reading. Amazon description: On a warm September afternoon in the year 2000, Dr. Alexander Sinclair travels to the Doppelganger Genetic Cloning Facility near Santa Fe, New Mexico, to meet with its brilliant but mysterious director, Dr. Karl Helmick. Over the next 21 years, the two scientists collaborate on incredible scientific breakthroughs, as Karl becomes friend, mentor, and father-figure to Alexander. But the longer Alexander knows Karl, the more aware he becomes of how little he knows about him. As the years go by, Alexander becomes increasingly suspicious that his colleague is not who he appears to be. And as Karl prepares to implement his plans for the future, each of the men discovers just how far he is willing to go to live forever.

The Fourth Kingdom is free for Kindle download until the 19th (remember that you don't have to actually have a Kindle to read these books~ you can read them via the Kindle app on your mobile device or computer). Nice opportunity to check out the first book in the series for free.

Keep your eyes on my blog for news about the release of The Force later this month, and a fantastic Christian Fiction Book Lovers Basket giveaway in November.

Blessings~
